*A TRUE HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE*
OUR STORY
Mansion House 1757 was purchased by George and Cindy Keeney in May 2020. While new to this property, they have many years of success in the hospitality industries. The inn has immense history, dating all the way back to 1757, with names like Patrick Henry, Thaddeus Stevens, Eisenhower, Charles Carroll, Charles Mason & Jeremiah Dixon, J.E.B. Stuart and so on. Some may remember the historic B&B as the “Fairfield Inn”, but once George and Cindy became the new owners, they decided to honor history and return to the original name of Mansion House. The property was originally given the nickname of “Mansion House” because it was the largest house in town.
A graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America Hyde Park, N.Y. and having over 45 years in the Hospitality Industry, George serves as Executive Chef of the restaurant. Daniel Lee Keeney, eldest son of George and Cindy, is the Chef de Cuisine, and together he and George work to develop menus that reflect varied cultures, influences, experiences, and original thought.
While George and Dan are focused on the Culinary aspects, Cindy handles everything from private event coordination, front-of-house management, maintaining the gardens and decor throughout The Boutique Inn and Restaurant.
As the owners and innkeepers, George and Cindy strive to create a memorable experience in a welcoming, comfortable and unpretentious manner. The “Country Drive” from Gettysburg to the quaint setting of Fairfield, with a backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is like driving into a Norman Rockwell painting. Whether guests are dining or staying at the Inn, the Keeneys want all enjoy a True Hospitality Experience at Mansion House 1757.
